Instructor

Ian Morrison is a Lecturer at Harvard University. Prior to this he was a Fellow at Cabot Corporation (8 years), Director of Ink Technology at E Ink Corporation (4 years) and Principal Scientist at Xerox Corporation (21 years). He has been an instructor for ACS short courses on colloid science since 1985 and lectured at Yale and Columbia Universities. His research has been on particle size analysis, properties of nonaqueous dispersions, adsorption of gases, adsorption from solution, and electrical properties of dispersions and composites. He is the author of more that 60 publications and patents. He has published two textbooks with Professor Sydney Ross, the latest, Colloidal Dispersions, in 2002. He has a BS in Chemistry (1971) and Mathematics (1973), a MS in Physical Chemistry (1972), and a PhD in Colloid and Interface Science (1975) all from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY.
